The Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center was established in Booneville, AR to develop new practices and technologies to help small farms become more profitable and sustainable.

Situated on 2,300 acres in rural Arkansas, the center has been providing quality research for small farms since 1980.

Soil and water greatly affect the priductivity of crops and grazing livestock. Our reasearch aims to develop high resolution maps that show soil and soil properties, as well as their variability and water availability to help explain variability in crop and livestock production .
